PlumX now supports VIVO

We have recently added a feature where populating a PlumX researcher profile is as easy as creating a link to an existing VIVO profile.

(VIVO is an open source semantic web application that is used in >30 countries and being implemented in more than 100 institutions.)

So, for example, to add a VIVO profile to a PlumX profile simply add:

From this page, the PlumX harvesting engine will retrieve all of the research outputs that exist in the VIVO profile for the researcher.  Then, the engine will harvest metrics about each artifact.

We can also provide widgets that allow for embedding of this content in other websites.  For example, it would be possible to embed metrics from PlumX back into the VIVO instance itself.  An example of what an embeddable widget looks like is below:
